How To Find A Motivation For Weight Loss?


The old saying says that one who has big enough "Why" can handle any "How". In light of these sayings recall how long have you want to lose weight? Are you interested in what is the best way to lose weight?


The first step in weight loss is motivation. You may feel that you have great motivation and how you really want it. However, what marks a truly motivated person is a long-lasting perseverance, personal reasons and awareness of what your "Why" is.


Personal reasons with which you will achieve the goal


People want to lose weight for various reasons: "I want to look good on the beach," "I want to fit in again in my favorite dress," "I want to be more attractive," "I want to fix my health." However, they are rarely aware that not every motivation and every reason are strong enough to keep change and for that reason we often give up before fulfilling our own goals.

You should not indulge in something because of external pressure and feelings that you need something if that really does not matter to you. Also, be prepared for it sometimes to be very difficult and you may not always see the results but accept it without blaming someone else for that.

What is most important is that you have your own personal reasons that are very important to you and that you believe that we can truly accomplish it!

Find your "Why?"


If you cannot currently find your motivation for weight loss, try to remember your previous experiences. Think what gave you then motivation? What were your reasons to persevere in changing the way?

You can think of it as your values or a passion. It is only important that it is something that moves you from the inside and gives you the strength and will you need.

If you cannot think of anything right now, we can help you with a couple of ideas. Remember how important your family, friends, work, education, and especially your health and well being are important to you. Think about what you want to be; do you have someone you admire? Can you recall how you imagined yourself while you were a child?
It is important that you write down these things in order to have them visually present in front of you. Also, put them in a positive context and highlight their true values. Under positive context we think that values are not expressed in the context of what you want to avoid more of what you want to achieve.
For example: "I will not give up the weight loss because I thus impair health." But "I will persist in losing weight because I want to fix your health, especially blood pressure."

But why highlight values as a very important start? Namely, when we align our own goals with values then we hardly let go of goals because the renunciation of value means abandoning parts of ourselves, from the image of ourselves as we experience ourselves.
Of course, each person has a different value, but will also highlight some of you: health, healthy socializing with grandchildren or children, working efficiency, attractiveness to the opposite sex, the choice of future profession etc.

Where do you see yourself in five years?


Try to do one exercise. Imagine yourself in 5 years, but imagine two situations. In one situation, you stay at the same weight, possibly increase it, but in the other situation you lose weight and reach your desired weight.

Now try to write as much detail as possible about your life for these two situations, for both situations try to remember as much as possible, both positive and negative. E.g. weight loss does not have to be positive in all, you probably will not like getting up early in the morning and running in the rain or preparing a healthy breakfast.

Likewise, in a different situation, there must not be only negative things, you will certainly enjoy that at any time you can eat whatever you want. Try to take the time and detail these two situations.

Once you have written this out, look at the future in which you have lost weight and find the reasons that are of particular importance to you and in which you will have a great positive shift if you lose weight.
Sometimes people have a large number of personal reasons for weight loss but also against it. As a counter example we can take the time you spend exercising. When you think a little bit more, it takes you a few hours a week, and you can manage your time with the best planning and schedule so that you can make the most of it and you can do it all.

What is obligatory in weight loss is a change in diet and regular exercise. Be aware that this will be difficult and that fact accept because there is not perhaps, certainly will be like that. So get ready for it.

Make the final decision


We hope that we at least helped you to find the necessary motivation. If they cannot manage to find, maybe now is not the time to start with weight loss.

Remember that the reasons for engaging in it should be only yours and coming out from you and your values. Prepare for hard work because this process will not be easy, but be persistent and come to a state where you will be happy and satisfied with what you are.

And just one thing to do when you have to do something hard, then the satisfaction is much bigger!
